Hugo Public Schools Honors Retirees, Teachers of the Year

Administration and staff of Hugo Public Schools recently held a reception at Kiamichi Technology Center for this year’s retirees as well as the campus teachers of the year and district teacher of the year. Announced as this year’s District Teacher of the Year was Jeri Wooldridge, a teacher at Hugo Elementary. She was chosen as the Hugo Public Schools Teacher of the Year by a community committee from among the school site teachers of the year. This group included Brandon Debo, Hugo High School Teacher of the Year; Brandi Cook, Hugo Middle School Teacher of the Year; and Roseanna Sorrells, Hugo Intermediate Teacher of the Year. Mrs. Wooldridge and the site teachers of the year were honored at a districtwide ceremony on May 3 along with this year’s retirees. The district’s retirees include Child Nutrition Director Virginia Santillan, Transportation Director Mike Trantham and Administrative Assistant Novella Trantham. “We thank these folks for their years of service to the children of Hugo Schools and wish them the very best in their retirement,” said Supt. Dr. Earl Dalke. Congratulations to all!
