Memorial services for Lewis Franklin Bruce were held on Saturday, May 18, 2019, at 10:00 a.m. at the Victory Life Church in Hugo, OK, with Pastor Greg Halley officiating. There will also be memorial services held on Saturday, July 6, 2019, at 10:00 a.m. at the Bridge Church in Corona, CA, with Pastor Mark Jackson officiating, with burial to follow at 2pm at the Holy Sepulcher Cemetery in Orange, CA. Lewis passed from this life into the loving arms of the Lord, Monday, April 15, 2019, in Antlers, OK, at the age of 91.

Lewis Franklin Bruce was born February 20, 1928, to George Lee Bruce and Lois Fern (Creed) Bruce, in Wellington, KS. He married Takako Kunihiro, November 28, 1955, in Fukuoka, Japan and together they were blessed with over 53 years of marriage. Lewis had lived in this area for the past 2 and 1/2 years after moving from California where he lived for 40 yrs. He was a member of the Victory Life Church in Hugo, OK and enjoyed serving the Lord.

Lewis was preceded in death by his wife, Takako; his parents, George and Fern Bruce; one daughter, Terri Ann Olshefsky; one brother, Robert Eugene Bruce; and four sisters, Betty Jo and Bonnie Lee Bruce, Mary Lee Bruce, and Wanita Mae Bruce.

Lewis is survived by his son, David Bruce and wife, Linda, of Antlers, OK; two sisters, Margaret Helen Bruce, of Wichita, KS, and Lois Fern Bruce, of Aurora, CO; four grandsons; eleven great-grandchildren; as well as, many other nieces, nephews, and friends.
